Back in December, we reported on a leak of announcer files revealing potential characters for the new Mortal Kombat game for the 360 and PS3. Now Shoryuken tells us of a leaked character select screen for the new Mortal Kombat game as well from the PS3 version. Although it is unknown if the screen is legitimate or from a final build of the game, it's professional, sleek look makes it appear to be from the actual game.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Armie Hammer, best known for playing the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network, has been cast as the prince in The Brothers Grimm: Snow White directed by Tarsem Singh. The part of Snow White has not been cast yet but Julia Roberts has been cast in the role of an evil queen.
CVG tell us that Kenshi, Kintaro, and Scarlet are confirmed as three DLC characters for the new Mortal Kombat game coming out on April 19, 2011 for the 360 and PS3. Scarlet is a rare glitch character from Mortal Kombat 2 that would happen in the Living Forest stage where Mileena's outfit would sometimes turn red. Mortal Kombat fans called this glitch 'Mileena form Scarlet'. Kintaro is a tiger-striped Shokan (the same species as Goro) who first appeared as the sub-boss from Mortal Kombat 2. Kenshi is a blind swordsman who first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
Now The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Will Sasso has been cast as Curly. At this point the only Stooge left to be cast is Larry. Sasso is best known for being on the cast of MADtv from 1997-2009, but more recently has been in the movie Life As We Know It and the TV show $#*! My Dad Says.
Part of me wishes the Farrelly brothers would have been able to direct the movie with the original cast set up in 2009 (Sean Penn, Jim Carrey, and Benicio Del Toro), but regardless of the cast I am confident that the brothers will do a great job with their take on the Three Stooges. Their humor has always been on the slapstick side and if Three Stooges reaches the level of dumb hilarity that Dumb & Dumber or There's Something About Mary did, I will be ecstatic.
Citizen Brown, the third episode in Telltale Games' episodic Back to the Future series for the PC, will feature actress Claudia Wells as the voice of Jennifer Parker. Jennifer Parker was the girlfriend of Marty McFly in all 3 Back to the Future movies, but Claudia Wells only played the part in the first movie (Elisabeth Shue played the part in the other two films). Citizen Brown will be available to download on the PC sometime next wee
It has been rumored that everyone's favorite killer doll Chucky will be returning in a remake of Child's Play. The rights for the first film are owned by MGM while the rights for the sequels are owned by Universal. This led to some messy issues but it seems as if the rights issues have supposedly been worked out and according to a 2008 interview with writer Don Mancini, this remake of the original will "make [Chucky] scary again." Perhaps the best news about this though is that Brad Dourif will return to voice Chucky and there is also a possibility of Mancini directing.
